Who can wrestle on the Appleton North Youth Wrestling Club?

Intro to Youth Wrestling: 4K-2nd

Youth Club: K-6th Grade (We offer to practice sessions: Beginners (K-2) and Intermediate (3-6))

How much does it cost to participate?

Intro to Youth Wrestling: $50

Youth Wrestling: $75

When and how do we register?

Registration is now open and available on the program page.

Is a uniform provided?

Singlets will be provided this season per request. A singlet deposit is required and will be returned when the singlet is returned.

Do we need to purchase any equipment?

Wrestling shoes and headgear is all that will need to be purchased.

Does my child need experience?

No, our practices will focus on the fundamental skills of the sport, but will also provide opportunities for the advanced athlete to excel.

When and where do we practice?

Intro to Youth Wrestling: 4K-2nd Grade

Monday/Wednesday Nights: 6:30-7:00 pm
Practices: 10/7 (M), 10/9 (W), 10/14 (M), 10/16 (W), 10/21 (M), 10/23 (W)
Practices held at Appleton North High School (Entrance 21 - proceed to wrestling room)

Beginners: K-2nd Grade

Monday/Thursday Nights: 6:15-7:00 pm
Friday: 6:00-7:15 pm

My child is a beginner; does he/she compete in tournaments?

We encourage our beginner wrestlers to use the season to become familiar with the sport and enjoy the experience with the hope of returning next season. With this said, we do participate in two tournaments as a team this season. Participation in these tournaments would be a great way to make strong connections with other teammates and families.

When and where do we compete?

We will participate in two local events this season as a team: Kimberly Youth Tournament and our very own Appleton North "Mat Madness" tournament. Participation in these events will be encouraged. We will also provide information on other local and state tournaments throughout the season.

Is it required for my child to participate in every practice?

We will encourage wrestlers to participate in all practices. We do realize that conflicts may exist and understand your wrestlers may need to miss a practice. With this said, we will encourage consistent participation.
