We are committed to providing a youth wrestling program stressing wrestling FUNdamentals, life skills, a positive experience and good sportsmanship on and off the mat. Who can wrestle on the Appleton North Youth Wrestling Club?
Any student in grades K-6th Grade.

How much does it cost to participate?
$50.00 per wrestler.

When and how do we register?
Registration is now open. Please click here to register for the season

Is a uniform provided?
Singlets will be provided this season per request. A singlet deposit is required and will be returned when the singlet is returned.

Do we need to purchase any equipment?
Wrestling shoes and headgear is all that will need to be purchased.
​​​
Does my child need experience?
No, our practices will focus on the fundamental skills of the sport, but will also provide opportunities for the advanced athlete to excel.

Practices will be held in the Appleton North HS wrestling room (5000 N. Ballard Rd, Appleton, WI 54913). Use ENTRANCE #14 and proceed upstairs to the wrestling room.

Practices will be held in the Appleton North HS wrestling room (5000 N. Ballard Rd, Appleton, WI 54913). Use ENTRANCE #14 and proceed upstairs to the wrestling room.

How long is the season?
The season is begins Monday, December 4th and concludes on Thursday, March 21st.
My child is a beginner; does he/she compete in tournaments?
We encourage our beginner wrestlers to use the season to become familiar with the sport and enjoy the experience with the hope of returning next season. With this said, we do participate in two tournaments as a team this season. Participation in these tournaments would be a great way to make strong connections with other teammates and families.

When and where do we compete?
We will participate in two local events this season as a team: Kimberly Youth Tournament and our very own Appleton North "Mat Madness" tournament. Participation in these events will be encouraged. We will also provide information on other local and state tournaments throughout the season.

Is it required for my child to participate in every practice?
We will encourage wrestlers to participate in all practices. We do realize that conflicts may exist and understand your wrestlers may need to miss a practice. With this said, we will encourage consistent participation.
